Alawa Primary School Fire Damage Repairs

In the end of March 2011 Larrakia Development Corporation were appointed to undertake the repair or replace fire damaged items at the New Alawa Preschool. All works to adhere to the original design specifications unless instructed otherwise. The New Alawa Preschool consists of the following: Activity Room; Preschool Undercover Outdoor Area; Store; Preschool Toilets; Entry Foyer and Plant Enclosure.

UNOMS team  were responsible for keeping the tight program on track who working closely with the Construction Manager to ensure all necessary resources are available to complete the works. This  included the Site Supervision of the site preparation; concrete construction; timber and steel construction; block constrution; insulation and sarking; roofing; cladding and lining; suspended ceilings; plastering; joinery and fixures; painting; floor coverings; plumbing and drainage; electrical installations; and mechanicalinstallations.

• Repair and upgrades completed on time, to budget and to a high quality standard.

• Zero safety incidents occurred during construction to date.
