ERA Capital Works Projects

RioTinto's ERA Ranger mine is located adjacent to the Kakadu National Parks as such all works associated with the mine site require ongoing safety, risk and enviromental monitoring and management.

Kirsty was the Superintendent for Water and Tailings management responsible for manageing: environmental and civil engineeing; and enviromental management, projects from concept through design and implementation. She was also responsible for the development, implementation and auditing of risk, safety and environment for all projects. This included working within RinTinto's Integrated Management System and undertaking Incident Investigations using TapRoot to determine the root cause of incidents.

Ewan was the Senior Project Manager responsible for managing: structural and civil engineering projects form concept through design and implementation. He was also esponsible for the development,  implementation and auditing of of risk, safety and environment for all projects. This included working within RinTinto's Integrated Management System and undertaking Incident Investigations.

 Key Program Achievements:

• No environmental incidents occurred on any of these projects.
   
• ERA's safety rating increased form the bottom of RioTinto's companies to the middle within one years.
