McMinn St Duplication

McMinn Street is a major route to the city, and provides an entrance statement for the Darwin Waterfront Precinct. The project involves the duplication of McMinn Street between Foelsche Street and Frances Bay Drive, landscaping works, new street lighting, a new cycle and pedestrian path and the installation of a safety balustrade.

Kirsty was the Superintendent's Representative and Senior Project Manager responsible for day-to-day management of the project for the Civil Construction Division. This included: Identification of waste materials adjacent to the NT News which had to be located and removed from site; risk management, contractor and consultant management, community  consultation, undertaking OH&S and environmental audits of the project and liaising with the client to ensure most suitable solution is implemented.
 

Key Project Achievements:

  • All waste materials were located and cleaned-up in the middle of a busy city centre with minimal impact on the community.
